The other major reason for not being able to communicate in person is the long distance between two people. That may be due to several reasons, the major one being that dating is not yet acceptable in some cultures and couples have to hide their relationships from their parents and families most of the time, which makes it hard for them to see each other too often. Yes, for some couples or people who have the potential to be more than just friends, it is truly difficult to meet and have face-to-face encounters. Instead of hanging out with each other, spending time getting to know one another, people prefer to text each other all day and basically hide behind their phone screens. However, that seems to be changing gradually as texting seems to be the major source of communication for most people! Even so, in the previous decade, people dating would often meet other, their family and friends and know the quality of their connection and compatibility in person. While in the olden days, lovebirds wrote letters to one another to express the multitude of feelings they had for one another, they would always be looking for an opportunity to have a secret rendezvous just to see the love of their lives.

People these days however have misinterpreted that to mean telecommunication instead! Technology has taken over our lives so subtly that we have forgotten the immense importance of face-to-face interaction and communication with each other. It is said that strong relationships are built on communication.
